What it does
VIMS is one system with two halves: a local-first desktop workspace for AI, agents, and code, and a set of browser apps built on peer-to-peer primitives and a shared identity vault. Every browser app also runs inside the desktop client.
How it works
- Pick an app below
- Create or import an identity once
- Use it in the browser, the desktop client, or both
Browser surfaces
Use directly in the browser or through the VIMS Desktop client.
Desktop apps
Included in the local VIMS workspace.
FAQ
Do I need the desktop app to use the browser apps?
No. Every browser surface works on its own at its subdomain. The desktop client adds local AI, agents, and the developer tools.
Which apps are free?
The desktop app and all browser surfaces are free. Bookkeeper is licensed separately.
How does VIMS Apps connect to the rest of VIMS?
It shares your identity from keys.vims.com and is reachable by agents through MCP and Flow, so it works alongside every other VIMS app.
